RoHS

Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
Directive 2002/95/EC of 1 July 2006

These Regulations implement EU Directive 2002/95 which bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

Manufacturers such as Daniamant need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive to ensure that their products, and their components, comply. Although Daniamant products do not fall under the ten categories listed and are therefore exempt we have taken the decision to convert all our products to be RoHS compliant where possible as part of our commitment toward the Environment.
